UAE Trust Services Regulatory Framework sets the ground for Qualified Trust Services provided by QTSPs outside UAE to be recognized if they are on a comparable level to the service provided by UAE licensed QTSPs.

This consists in a unilateral provision allowing for TDRA to establish the recognition of a foreign QTSP providing QTS in its own territory, country or legal framework on the basis of an assessment aiming to determine whether the foreign QTSP/QTS are of a comparable level of quality / security and are subject to essentially comparable legal, supervisory, and technical requirements compared to those applicable to QTSP established in the UAE and providing QTS defined in Law (46) of (2021).

TDRA, as the supervisory body, and in line with the regulatory framework provisions will enter in mutual recognition negotiations with other countries or group of countries aiming to conclude an agreement for a mutual recognition of QTSP/QTS.
