The Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Program was established in line with the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to empower the government sector to excel in its performance, regulations, services and outcomes. Telecom Review Excellence Award

TDRA won the Telecom Review Excellence Award for Best Digital Outreach in the Middle East. The award was presented at the conclusion of the 17^th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit, which was held in Dubai, on 6 and 7 December 2023. TDRA earned this award in recognition of its communication and awareness program, extensively utilizing various channels, particularly digital platforms. The award also acknowledges TDRA’s proactive engagement with government entities, private institutions, and the broader society through digital platforms. This effort is part of a comprehensive plan strategically crafted to reach all segments of society and foster partnerships at both local and regional levels.

Gartner Eye on Innovation Award

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) won the Gartner Eye on Innovation Award 2023 in the Federal Government Initiatives category. TDRA earned this award for its project, the AI-powered chatbot platform 'U-Ask', launched on the Unified Digital Portal of the UAE Government ‘u.ae’. 'U-Ask' demonstrated an innovative approach to service provision by leveraging data and harnessing emerging technologies to enhance the user experience of government services.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award

TDRA won the Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award - Class of the best Language Policy and Planning Initiative, for its comprehensive and multifaceted project to support Arabic digital content.  Over the years, TDRA has diligently developed and implemented this initiative, in alignment with the Arabic Language Charter launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai in 2012, and in line with TDRA's enabling role in digital government and knowledge society and economy.

CIPD Middle East People Award

TDRA’s HC Department has won the CIPD Middle East People Award in the Best Digital Innovation in HR / L&D category, organized by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of people management and development. With this achievement, TDRA becomes the only federal entity receiving this award in the region.

The project successfully aligned with Gartner’s evaluation criteria for this category, including innovation in service delivery and measurable impact on government service efficiency.

GCC eGovernment Award

Presented to the government entities, within the GCC countries, which follow international best practices in utilizing ICT tools in order to provide services and information to the various categories of their stakeholders. The award is announced alongside the GCC eGovernment Conference and Exhibition, that is held every two years.

The ITP .GOV Awards were introduced in 2015 to honour the achievements of the government sector in the GCC in the ICT field. The awards programme was established to highlight the world-leading progress that the Gulf region has made in the field of smart government and the use of information technology to drive progress and improve lives. The awards are held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award For Its Comprehensive Project Supporting Arabic Digital Content

TDRA won the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award – Best Initiative in Language Policy and Planning – for its comprehensive and multi-faceted project aimed at supporting Arabic digital content. The project was developed and implemented over several years in response to the Arabic Language Charter launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in 2023. The initiative reflects TDRA’s enabling role within the digital government ecosystem and the broader digital knowledge-based economy.

Smart Government Awards

This competition is exclusive for Arab governments and official entities, aims at enhancing the electronic/smart governments' websites and social media pages, encouraging creativity in the design of websites, web pages and smart applications of Arab governments, awarding the best pages and electronic tools that have been designed according to international standards for electronic/smart governments' websites, and others.
