TDRA Wins the International Organizational Resilience Awards 2021

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) announced that its procurement team has won the International Organizational Resilience Awards 2021 in the category of Supply Chain, Quality and Performance. Announcing this achievement took place during a virtual ceremony organized by Blackstone Resilience Project Management. TDRA team has won in this category in a global competition with 254 participations submitted by more than 112 entities from 27 countries.
TDRA reached the final list of the best 3 entities in "Sustainability" and "Agility" categories, among 81 entities and companies evaluated by a jury of specialized experts from various countries. This achievement adds to a set of TDRA’s procurement team global achievements during the current year, which indicates the success of the plans and initiatives adopted by the team with the aim of providing a sustainable work environment, improving and enhancing cooperation with suppliers and facilitating procurement procedures as TDRA was keen to build a sustainable strategic relationship with suppliers, and speed up the supply process. TDRA reviewed the procurement strategy, negotiation with suppliers on strategic contracts, and standardization of contracts to obtain competitive prices. It also developed its human cadres in the field of procurement, supply and electronic procurement systems.
Commenting on this achievement, H.E. Mohammad Al Kitbi, TDRA Deputy Director General for Support Service Sector, said: “TDRA is keen to develop procurement and supply processes, strengthen relations with supplier partners, and make continuous improvements to the supply chain for ICT procurement, which was positively reflected in the provision and development of services provided by TDRA to the customers. TDRA’s win of this award reflects its success in using its capabilities to foresee the future, plan and make gradual changes to accommodate sudden disturbances and adapt to them to achieve success and prosperity and continue to provide services, while maintaining the safety of its employees and customers.”
This year, TDRA has won the Gold Stevie Award in the category of Best Procurement Team Supporting Suppliers, as part of the International Business Awards for the year 2021. TDRA also won the award for the best entity in the field of procurement and supply in the “Best Response with Suppliers During the COVID-19 Pandemic” category as part of CIPS Awards. TDRA also won the Best Entity Award for the categories of “Best Procurement Team” and “Best Sustainable Entity in Services and Products” within the Best Business Awards “BBA”, which is one of the prestigious awards in the United Kingdom. TDRA received the global professional ethics certificate in the field of procurement and supply from CIPS for 2020 and 2021. It is also worth noting that TDRA was awarded the best “Procurement Influencer” within the Middle East Procurement Awards 2021.
