The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) have celebrated the Emirati Women’s Day for three days by organizing a series of events and activities, in a move that reflects the importance of this event that highlights the contributions of Emirati women and their achievements in all fields, and their role in shaping the story of UAE success.

On this occasion, the TRA Director General sent an SMS as well as a special greetings card to all female employees, saying: “I would like to congratulate you on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, the women who have been educated by the ‘Mother of the Emirates’ and impressed the entire world by their achievements.”

The celebration agenda included a speech by H.E. Eng. Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Acting TRA Director General, in addition to music performance by TRA female employees, and an art exhibition that included many paintings inspired by the meanings and values of this occasion. TRA hosted a mobile clothing store on this occasion, as well as organizing workshops and courses of cooking and job etiquette.

Commenting on this, H.E. Majed Al Mesmar said: “In the UAE, we are proud that the woman is a full and permanent partner in shaping success, thus, our Women’s Day is yesterday, today and tomorrow. Women’s Day in the UAE is repeated 365 days a year, which are the achievement days. The woman in our beloved country is a partner in the past, present and future. This has been the case even during the establishment and development of the Union. This is how it has been described by our Union founder Zayed, it has been and still is under the patronage of the ‘Mother of the Emirates’ Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’’.

H.E. Al Mesmar added: “The Emirati woman has experienced the challenges of the pre-oil and pre-union eras, and struggled to establish the honorable homes of the sons and grandsons who built our present. She deserved to taste the sweetness of success, witnessing her country’s shining flag that has become admired by the whole world.”

At this occasion, the TRA employees have renewed the oath of loyalty to our wise leadership, to continue the work, to maintain the rise of the UAE flag in all fields, especially in the ICT, in which women have always had impressive contributions that have left an impact on many economic, educational, health and other fields.
