The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) is working to improve and develop the service of "Customs Release Permit for Telecom Devices" to improve the user experience of individuals businesses and governments and reduce the time taken to get the service. The list of improvements included:
· Integration with customs authorities to submit the application through their platforms without the necessity to visit TDRA
· Reduce customer journey to zero-visits
· Usage of artificial intelligence to preliminarily revise the application and provide required approvals
· Call center awareness
· Customer awareness
The consultation aims to solicit your views on the new improvements to the "Customs Release Permits for Telecom Devices" service, and whether you have any additions or other improvements that can be implemented in the coming period.
Before we launch the targeted improvements, please, share your ideas and suggestions, which we will study and integrate into our service improvement plan this year.
After collecting ideas and feedback from participants, we will launch the service in its new form with the above improvements and any improvements that you may add.
TDRA studied the comments of the users and set a plan of improvements that included:
1. Digital capabilities (electronic connection with Abu Dhabi and Dubai)
2. Reducing the user's journey to zero visits
3. Utilizing artificial intelligence
4. Call center awareness
5. User awareness.
TDRA established a schedule that included:
1. Completion of the integration with Abu Dhabi Customs by the end of September
2. Completion of the integration with Dubai Customs by the end of October.
