The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of its training program for employees of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC), as part of the ongoing partnership between the two entities and their commitment to developing digital skills and enhancing the readiness of government talent to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.
The second cohort comprised ten trainees who completed a three-month training program covering nine specialized training tracks. The program addressed areas relevant to the FCSC’s mandate, alongside emerging technologies and modern technological trends, contributing to expanding participants’ knowledge and developing their practical skills.
H.E. Eng. Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of TDRA, said: “Our collaboration with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre reflects the importance of government partnerships in investing in talent and developing digital capabilities. Building technical skills and knowledge is a fundamental pillar in enhancing the readiness of national talent to keep pace with digital transformation and benefit from the opportunities created by emerging technologies.”
His Excellency also added: “The graduation of the second cohort reflects the continuity of this productive collaboration and builds on the achievements made to date. TDRA remains committed to working with its federal government partners to develop capabilities, exchange expertise and strengthen integration in support of our shared government objectives.”
The program builds on TDRA’s efforts to promote a culture of digital transformation and develop government capabilities through training initiatives that enable employees to keep pace with technological developments and apply them in the workplace. TDRA previously launched the Knowledge Centre program under its Digital Academy initiative, in collaboration with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, to develop employees’ skills and enhance their readiness to work with modern digital tools and concepts.
H.E. Hanan Mansour Ahli, Director of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, affirmed: “The Knowledge Centre program reflects the effective partnership with the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority in developing national talent and strengthening digital and professional skills in line with the requirements of government work. At the FCSC, we are committed to aligning capacity building with operational needs and priorities, enabling employees to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire to improve work methods and enhance the quality of statistical and competitiveness outputs. This supports data-driven decision-making and strengthens institutional performance.”
Her Excellency added: “We place great importance on monitoring the impact of training in the workplace through regular meetings between participants and their direct managers to identify opportunities to apply the acquired skills and assess their contribution to improving performance. We continue to work with our partners to develop the program and its training tracks to meet the training needs of the Centre’s employees and support the continuous development of the national statistical system.”
TDRA underscores the importance of continuing this partnership and further developing its training tracks to build government capabilities equipped for the future, while contributing to the UAE’s competitiveness and leadership in digital government.
