UAE Delegation Reaps 5 Awards at the GCC eGovernment Conference and Exhibition

The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (TRA) announced today that UAE delegation that participated in the 4th edition of the GCC eGovernment Conference and Exhibition has reaped 5 significant awards and two certificates of appreciation. These awards highlight the technological advancement that UAE is achieving in ICT generally and mGovernment and eGovernment specifically.
“Bayanaty” project by the Federal Authority for Government Human Recourses received the “Best Government Service” award. “Dubai Commercial Services” provided by Dubai customs won the “Best Government service provided to Business Sector” award. The “Best Smart Application” award was granted to “Darb” application provided by the Department of Transport. UAE received two certificates in appreciation and acknowledgment of the MOI’s Community Sharing project and TRA’s Center of Digital Innovation (CoDI).
In this context, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, UAE TRA Director General, stated: “I would like to congratulate all the winning projects, and I would like to express my appreciation for all participants for the efforts they exerted to add more accomplishment to UAE prestigious portfolio of achievements. We learned from our leadership that success isn’t a destination but a journey and therefore, we will keep striving for more success and accomplishments. I want also to extend my appreciation to the committees that evaluated numerous nominated projects across the GCC.”
Majed Al Mazloum, UAE TRA Center of Digital Innovation (CoDI) Program Director stated: “This is one of the most prominent and prestigious awards as it assess projects in accordance with supreme international standards. Reaping these awards today is an acknowledgement of the efforts exerted by TRA and CoDI and the effectiveness of their teamwork. We look forward to fortifying UAE’s regional leading role through fostering an innovative culture by providing more workshops and trainings.”
