FANR Delegation Explores UAE TRA Center of Innovation

H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (TRA) Director General, welcomed yesterday a delegation from the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) at TRA Center of Innovation which was inaugurated recently in conjunction with UAE innovation week with the aim of making innovation the fabric of TRA’s working environment.

 

FANR delegation encompassed Mr. Christer Viktorsson, FANR Director General and Mohamed Sultan Al Zaabi, Deputy Director General of Administration. They explored the centers’ various sections including the smart library which brings under its roof more than 350 various technical, cultural and scientific topics. TRA provided a detailed explanation to the delegation about the innovation platform that provides employees with all tools that enable and encourage them to be innovative. The explanation entailed the platform’s design and the advanced communication tools that enable organizing meetings and brainstorming sessions easily.

 

In this context, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, UAE TRA Director General, stated: “We were very pleased to welcome FANR delegation and we would like to express our gratitude for them as this visit portrays the collaborative spirit that UAE government is distinguished with. The visit also enabled us to exchange ideas and best practices. FANR is a very active authority that is always keen to collaborate with all governmental institutions and entities to achieve the goals of the National Agenda.”

“This visit marked an ideal opportunity for us to showcase various initiatives, smart applications, and workshops that TRA launched during UAE innovation Week. We also exchanged thoughts with visitors regarding developing TRA’s innovation related initiatives.” H.E. added

 

Mr. Christer Viktorsson, FANR Director General, stated : “Stemming from our leaderships vision, and as the Prime Minister Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum has said and allow me to quote him “Innovation will offer a new method of functioning for UAE’s vital sectors “hence we are here today at the TRA to explore the TRA’s innovation labs and demonstrate that it’s possible for organizations in the UAE to work together, to develop, share and transfer best practices and innovative approaches in different fields”

The delegation’s visit included exploring the Virtual Interactive Theater which is based on the development of intelligent and interactive software solutions that enhance the communication between various segments of specialists in several areas including engineers, decision makers, doctors, and researchers. Moreover, it will be utilized as a marketing tool to showcase the outcome of scientific and academic research in various fields using modern technology to rationalize resources and minimize errors.

 

FANR delegation expressed their admiration for the center and praised the efforts exerted by TRA to encourage innovation and creativity.
