TDRA’s ICT Fund has launched the “BETHA Program”, which aims to enhance the national education sector by supporting academically distinguished UAE nationals. The program helps develop human capital in ICT-related disciplines to meet the growing needs of the sector and the increasing demand for specialized national talent.

The BETHA Program aligns with the ICT Fund’s strategy to support specialized human resources in ICT, including computer engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, information technology, and other related fields.

The ICT Fund has invested in national talent through the BETHA Program by allocating hundreds of scholarships for bachelor’s and master’s degrees at leading universities specializing in ICT disciplines.

Documents required for admission:

  • Full acceptance/admission letter (conditional or partial offers are not accepted).
  • Certified high school certificate (for undergraduate students), approved by the Ministry of Education or equivalent, showing final results.
  • Academic transcript for continuing undergraduate students, stamped and signed by the registrar’s office.
  • Official IBAN letter under the student’s name, stamped and signed by the bank.

Admission requirements for the Bachelor’s degree program:

  • Must be a UAE citizen.
  • Minimum score of 75% in the secondary school certificate or equivalent.
  • Must apply for a specialization in telecommunications or information technology fields.
  • High school graduation must be within the last three years.
  • Must not be currently employed.
  • Must not have received any other scholarship or financial support from another entity.
  • (For males) No Objection Certificate from the National Service Authority or proof of completion.
  • Full university admission without the need for foundation or preparatory programs.

One of the following English proficiency test scores:

  • IELTS: 6.0 and above.
  • EmSAT: 1430 and above.
  • TOEFL: 510 and above.
  • SAT: 480 and above.

Evaluation criteria for new students (not limited to):

  • Secondary school grades.
  • University placement test results.
  • English proficiency test scores.
  • Exemption from remedial or preparatory courses.
  • STEM subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.).

For ongoing bachelor’s students:

  • CGPA of 2.8 and TGPA of 2.8 or above.
  • Minimum completion of 12 credit hours.
  • Students who are not selected may reapply after at least one semester of university study, provided their GPA is not less than 2.8 out of 4.0.
