ICT Fund supports educational institutions to provide curricula and high quality courses in telecommunications and information field, in order to develop and encourage local talents with a promising future.

Application Criteria for Educational Institutions:

• Educational institution applicants must be legal entities (university, research institute or company).
• The majority share of the sponsoring institution must be owned by a UAE entity.
• The maximum duration of funding is 5 years.
• The maximum funding share is 75% of budgeted expenses for academic and research institutions and 50% of budgeted expenses for companies.

Evaluation criteria:

Both public and private educational institutions are eligible to apply for funding exclusively in the fields of ICT higher education.

Applications will be evaluated based on technical expertise, commercial viability, and the extent to which the proposed initiative benefits the UAE Information Communications Technology sector.

Key evaluation factors include UAE representation, commitment of support from a third party, completeness of submitted proposals, institutional capacity and feasibility, accuracy and completeness of the commercial proposal (including proposed revenue and cost models), and alignment between the commercial and technical proposals.
